Tips for making the perfect Muggin:

1. Before measuring out muggins mix, shake the bag a bit to insure even distribution of ingredients.

2. Microwave wattage will determine cooking time. For instance, muggins will require about 90 seconds in a 1200W microwave. For microwaves with lower wattage, increase cooking time in 30-second increments until muggins begins pulling away from mug.

3. You'll find detailed cooking instructions on the back of your muggins package. 

Chocolate Walnut Cookies

  • 1 pouch Chocolate Cake Muggins
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant milk
  • 4 Tbsp nut butter (we like cashew walnut butter)
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2-1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Mix first 4 ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. Fold in walnuts & chocolate chips. Dollop dough onto cookie sheet and flatten a bit. Bake 12-20 minutes, depending on cookie size.

Wish I had gotten nuggets…

I know I’m in the minority here, but these didn’t do it for me. They do not cook well in a mug at all, but definitely come out better in provided silicon. They were smaller than I had hoped for, and I just did not care for the taste. I wish I had ordered the nuggets instead, regretting this purchase for sure.

We were surprised to hear about your experience with the mug method, as muggins are designed to cook beautifully that way for most customers, so it sounds like something might have gone awry – microwave wattages and cooking times can sometimes vary quite a bit! Chocolate Cake Anytime!

Perfectly portioned chocolate cake serving, made easily in 2 minutes. Add a scoop or two of ice cream (So Delicious Creamy Vanilla Soymilk works great) and you have a totally decadent treat!

Delicious AND Healthy!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a vegan mug cake made with black beans and flaxseed, but wow—Muggins blew me away. These little cakes are the perfect balance of healthy and delicious. With no added sugar, salt, or oil, they somehow still manage to taste rich, satisfying, and totally crave-worthy.

The texture is moist and cakey, not at all what you'd expect from something so wholesome. The taste is super well-balanced and not “bean-y” at all. It’s sweet in that naturally good-for-you way—like your body actually feels better after eating it.
