Tips for making the perfect Muggin:

1. Before measuring out muggins mix, shake the bag a bit to insure even distribution of ingredients.

2. Microwave wattage will determine cooking time. For instance, muggins will require about 90 seconds in a 1200W microwave. For microwaves with lower wattage, increase cooking time in 30-second increments until muggins begins pulling away from mug.

3. You'll find detailed cooking instructions on the back of your muggins package. 

Peanut Butter Blondies

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened plant milk
  • 1 pouch Peanut Butter Blondie Muggins
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2-1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Smash banana in a large bowl. Stir in plant milk. Add muggins mix and baking soda and stir until just mixed. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread mixture into prepared 8x8 pan. Bake 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

Peanut Butter Blondies

YUM! Love this. I made the bars (brownies) following the recipe I received with a previous order of Muggins. I also watched the demonstration video on the website. Easy to do. Delicious, too. Even my husband likes these, and he isn't a health food kind of guy.

Yummy! Even better than the chocolate muggins

I prefer the peanut butter blondie muggins over the chocolate. There is something delightful about the crunchy little peanut bits; the flavor is yummy and the texture is nice because often microwave mug cakes can taste gummy, but not this one. I’ve also had more success with a small bowl rather than a mug. With berries this a tasty treat!

A Tad Too Dry and Grainy

As much as I like the concept, I am finding the Peanut Butter Muggins to be very dry and grainy. I was hoping for something more gooey/cakey.

Hello Sherry. Just wanted to say thank you for your honest review on the peanut butter blondie muggins. We appreciate honest reviews, even if they're not favorable. 

Also, we're learning that there's a bit of a learning curve on the muggins. For instance, I wonder if your microwave overdid it a little or whether you added enough plant milk. Another suggestion is to add a bit of mashed banana--about 1' or a half ounce. I tried that last night, and the muggin came out very moist.

If you do try these things, please let us know what you think. :-)
