Tips for making the perfect Muggin:

1. Before measuring out muggins mix, shake the bag a bit to insure even distribution of ingredients. Use 1/3-1/2 cup of muggins mix.

2. Microwave wattage will determine cooking time. For instance, muggins will require about 90 seconds in a 1200W microwave. For microwaves with lower wattage, increase cooking time in 30-second increments until muggins begins pulling away from mug.

3. You'll find detailed cooking instructions on the back of your muggins package.

Good

While I like the nutritional value/clean ingredients, it did have a slightly bitter taste to it.

Thank you for your honest review, LG. Boy you must have sensitive taste buds because I thought we got rid of the slight bitter taste (from the cornmeal) a while back when we added in a touch of apple cider vinegar. Even WellBean cofounder and supertaster, Patty, no longer tastes the bitter! Anyway, you might try adding a tad, maybe 1/4 tsp, of ACV next time you whip one up so see if it helps. :-)

The flavor of this muggin grew on me and now I like it

After trying this a few times, I started to like it more than when I first tried it, and having it in the silicone liner really helped tremendously. Unfortunately, I lost it on a bus trip when I thought I put it back in my bag but it must have dropped on the floor :-( I'll see if I can find something of a similar size online.

I tried this in the waffle maker, and it didn't turn out for me when it stuck and I was scraping pieces of the waffle iron with a chop stick and knife (unplugged). The concept sounds good if I could only get it right. I tried flattening like a pancake the baking in the toaster oven, which turned out nice and crispy, but I accidentally deleted that photo.

Thank you for your honest review, Judy.

We totally get it—your tastebuds are used to a party with sugar and salt! Our cornbread is a bit more chill, but as you discovered, after your palate has a minute to adjust, cornbread muggins is quite tasty.

And you're right, every waffle iron is a little different, just like snowflakes! It might take a moment to find the sweet spot, but we promise, the golden-brown joy is worth it. :-)

Just the right amount of texture after two minutes

The concept of the muggins is highly desirable. Having a hot corn muffin in minutes is a fun idea. I like the texture of this corn muffin after it has been in the microwave for two minutes. When I turn the provided silicon muffin cup upside down the hot muffin pops right out. I prefer this textured corn muggin to the chocolate cake one which I found to be too smooth and kinda mushy.

muggins and nuggets

I didn't care for the muggins corn muffin. i didn't like the large kernels, but what mostly concerned me was that it is not organic. Corn as well as soy have GMO's. I did like the chocolate cake. And my favorite is the mint nugget.Perfect for an after dinner treat!
